Product Description
The GuitarJack Model 2 iOS interface connects a wide range of instruments, microphones, and other audio hardware to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch via 1/4-Inch instrument and 1/8 inch stereo mic/line inputs. GuitarJack Model 2 is a device-powered iOS accessory that offers stereo recording, simultaneous voice and instrument recording, Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes, 60 dB of continuous level control, and a 12 dB pad for 72 dB of adjustment. GuitarJack's dedicated 1/8-Inch stereo analog line/headphone output offers increased drive for headphones. These Sonoma apps include the GuitarJack control panel, where users can select an input and set the input/recording level: FourTrack multitrack app for iPhone, StudioTrack multitrack app for iPad, GuitarTone amps/effects/tuner (free and expandable), and Taylor EQ (free). GuitarJack also provides a great-sounding input/output solution for third party audio apps. Levels set using apps with the GuitarJack Control Panel remain set when you switch to compatible audio apps, even if they do not include the GuitarJack Control Panel. GuitarJack is ruggedly built with high quality components including a machined aluminum housing and Switchcraft jacks. It's made in America at a factory near Sonoma's office with rigorous quality control. What makes this unit really stand out is its superb sound quality, with analog and digital circuitry designed by the architect of the renowned UA 2192 interface. "Worked like a charm and sounded fantastic with both electric guitar and line-level signals. Very quiet with plenty of headroom, and not a hint of RF hum." - Tape Op Magazine. "My A/B tests were uniformly amazing, with clean input, gobs of gain, and exquisitely clean output, whether I was processing guitar signals, playing virtual instruments, or just listening to tracks in iTunes." - Recording Magazine "GuitarJack Model 2 remains top-of-the-line...impeccable sound with no discernible noise." - Rolling Stone Magazine
